NNK250 Discovery Symposium
Registration is open for the NNK250 Discovery Symposium at Stratford Hall November 8-9.
It is advertised as an annual event highlighting the great work happening in or about the Northern Neck in historical research, archaeology, and historic preservation. That sounds a lot like what we do at the Tavern!
With attendees and presenters from all over the Northern Neck, this is an opportunity to extend exposure of the Tavern’s activities and to network. With “collaboration” being our strategy to increase visitors to the Tavern, this event gives us access to the movers and shakers at other historic sites in the region. The possibilities of cross-promoting events is huge. Consider attending!

On the evening of November 8th a keynote address will kick off the symposium, featuring University of Mary Washington professor Dr. Krystyn Moon, the Director of UMW’s Humanities Center. Beginning at 9am, Monday a lineup of varied speakers and topics will shed light on “The American Experiment”. The symposium will conclude at 4pm.
